Privacy Policy
Plain English. No tricks.
Effective date: 2026-06-21. Last updated: 2026-06-21.
What we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to operate Annie Chan Talk:
- Email address — when you subscribe to the newsletter.
- Basic analytics — pages visited, country (city-level at most), device type, and referral source. Aggregated, not tied to your identity.
- Cookies — for session preferences (locale, theme) and analytics. See our cookie banner for opt-out controls.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your email or personal data to anyone. Ever.
- Share your data with third-party advertisers.
- Send unrelated promotional emails. The newsletter is the newsletter — that's the deal.
Who has access
Your email is stored in our email service provider (Resend) and our database (Supabase, EU region). A short list of operational tools handles delivery, analytics, and support. We do not ship your data to any other system.
Your rights
You can:
- Unsubscribe in one click — every email has a link at the bottom.
- Request a copy of the data we hold on you by emailing info@anniechantalk.com.
- Request deletion of your data. We comply within 30 days, GDPR-style.
Cookies
We use cookies for three purposes:
- Essential — locale preference, session state. Always on.
- Analytics — Google Analytics. You can decline via our cookie banner.
- Marketing — Meta Pixel / Google Ads (when active). You can decline via our cookie banner.
Children
Annie Chan Talk is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we materially change this policy, we'll update the effective date above and email subscribers. No silent changes.
